Drawing has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. From early squiggles to intricate scenes, it’s always been my way of expressing creativity and exploring my imagination. While I’ve never pursued art professionally, it’s always been a passion of mine.
A Return to Drawing
There was a period in my life where I stopped drawing. It wasn’t a conscious decision; I just found myself in a place where creativity took a backseat. However, thanks to the encouragement of my wife, I rediscovered my love for drawing and haven’t looked back since.
Exploring Mediums
One of the joys of drawing is experimenting with different mediums. After some trial and error, I found my groove with watercolors. Despite initial frustrations, something clicked, and now I can’t imagine using anything else.
The Journey to Comics
I’ve always been fascinated by comics and graphic novels, but I struggled to find a story that felt right for me. That’s when I decided to adapt one of my world-building projects into a comic. It’s been a challenging yet rewarding journey, and I’m excited to see where it leads.
Drawing for Love and Learning
At the end of the day, I’m drawing because I love it. It’s a way for me to learn and improve, to challenge myself creatively, and to share my stories with others. Whether it’s through comics, illustrations, or simply doodles in the margins of a notebook, drawing will always be a fundamental part of who I am.
