“Self-destruct initiated. We have 15 minutes,” Ed announces over the communicator. “Let’s move, team!”
Meanwhile, Henry Weedmonger emerges from the engineering tunnels to join the fray, his specialized knowledge proving invaluable in guiding the team through the base’s labyrinthine layout, avoiding traps and enemy ambushes.
“There’s a secondary hangar bay. It should be less guarded,” Henry informs the team. “If we can make it there, we might just get off this rock in one piece.”
Racing against time and navigating the crumbling base, the team fights through waves of enemy forces, utilizing their unique skills and unwavering teamwork to overcome the odds.
As they reach the hangar bay, a sleek, experimental spacecraft catches Spacedawg’s eye. “Our ticket out of here,” he says with a nod. The team boards the ship, their hearts pounding in their chests as the self-destruct countdown echoes through the base.
With mere seconds to spare, the spacecraft blasts off from the hangar, escaping the moon’s gravitational pull just as the base implodes in a spectacular display of light and debris.
As the RCSC team catches their breath, they begin to process the magnitude of their discovery and the formidable enemy they’ve now crossed. Though they’ve escaped with their lives and dealt a significant blow to the organization, they know their battle has only just begun.
“We’ve got a lot to report back to HQ,” Spacedawg says, his gaze locked on the stars streaking past the viewscreen. “And a whole lot more to uncover.”
