Upon arrival, sensors picked up the saboteurs’ ships. The Mandoleer’s Folly stayed hidden, ready to strike.

“Everyone, stay sharp,” Spacedawg commanded, eyes on the main screen. “We only get one shot.”

The saboteurs approached the holographic cargo ship, their weapons systems activating. Spacedawg gave the order to engage.

The drone’s holographic image flickered, revealing its true form. It launched magnetized mines that attached to the saboteurs’ ships, disabling their engines and weapons.

“Focus on their engines,” Renée directed. “We can’t let them escape.”

The space battle was intense, but the crew’s skill and coordination won out. One by one, the saboteurs’ ships were disabled, and Renée’s team secured the lead ship.

Inside, they faced resistance but pressed forward, capturing several key figures, including a high-ranking operative.

Back on the Mandoleer’s Folly, the captured saboteurs were brought to the interrogation room. Spacedawg, Renée, and Ed stood over the high-ranking operative, who glared at them defiantly.

“You think you’ve won?” the operative sneered. “This is just the beginning.”

Renée leaned in, her voice cold. “Start talking. Who are you working for, and what are your goals?”

The operative hesitated, then began to speak. “We’re part of a network aiming to destabilize major colonies and gain control over key resources. Fort Smith was just the first step.”

As the operative revealed more details, the extent of the conspiracy became clear. Spacedawg and his team realized the gravity of their mission.
