The documentary crew continued their journey through the Mandoleer’s Folly, next focusing on Lieutenant Mia “Vortex” Vang, a Human female Fighter Pilot known for her skill and bravery.
The interviewer found Vang in the fighter hangar, performing pre-flight checks on her ship.
“Lieutenant Vang, thank you for speaking with us. Can you tell us what it’s like being aboard the Mandoleer’s Folly?”
Vang smiled, her eyes sharp and focused. “It’s exhilarating. Every day is different, and being part of such a skilled crew is an honor. The Mandoleer’s Folly is an impressive ship, and it’s a privilege to fly its fighters.”
The interviewer continued, “You were on board the previous incarnation of the Mandoleer’s Folly when it went down. How did that make you feel?”
Vang’s expression turned serious. “It was a tough experience. We lost friends and comrades. But it also brought out the best in us – our resilience and our commitment to our mission. It made us stronger as a team.”
“What are some of the best memories you’ve had on the ship?” the interviewer asked.
“Flying through some of the most beautiful and dangerous parts of space,” Vang said with a hint of pride. “There was one mission where we had to navigate through an asteroid field under fire. The teamwork and precision required were incredible. Those moments remind me why I love what I do.”
The interviewer then asked, “What’s it like working with Captain Spacedawg PaulyBirth Name: PaulyCurrent Alias: Spacedawg PaulySpecies: Human-Canine HybridDate of Birth: February 22, 1973Place of Birth: Washington, D.C., United States, Earth, Sol SystemOccupations: Former Chef, Brewer, Distiller, Garden Worker, Apprentice Cobbler; Current First Mate on the Mandoleer's Folly, Lieutenant in the Royal Canadian Space Cavalry (RCSC) Overview Spacedawg Pauly is a unique entity whose life story spans both Earth and the... and your fellow pilots?”
“Captain Spacedawg is an exceptional leader,” Vang replied. “He’s calm under pressure and always has our backs. Working with the other pilots is great; we’re like a family. We train hard, and we trust each other completely in the field.”
Finally, the interviewer asked, “What are your hopes for your future?”
Vang took a moment before answering. “I hope to continue pushing my limits as a pilot and contribute to our missions’ success. I want to see more of the universe and protect our crew and allies. And maybe, one day, I’ll train the next generation of fighter pilots.”
The interviewer smiled. “Thank you, Lieutenant Vang. Your dedication is truly inspiring.”
As the camera crew moved on, Vang returned to her pre-flight checks, the hum of the fighter hangar a familiar and comforting sound.
