“I’m sending over a cargo barge to pick up the crate you transported. Also, I’d like to come aboard for a tour and to discuss the mission details, if that’s okay.”
Spacedawg nodded. “Sounds good. We’ll be ready to receive you.”
Spacedawg and Ed headed to the main hangar to await Captain Neil. Soon, a shuttle from the RCSC Peart landed in the Mandoleer’s Folly’s spacious hangar. Captain Neil stepped out, looking around with a mix of awe and excitement.

“Thank you, Captain. It’s a pleasure to be here,” Captain Neil replied, shaking their hands. “Is there somewhere private where we can talk?”
“We have a private bar for the senior crew,” Ed suggested.
They led Captain Neil to the private bar, a cozy room with comfortable seating and a well-stocked bar. Spacedawg poured drinks for everyone and they settled into the plush chairs.
Spacedawg leaned forward, curiosity evident. “So, what can you tell us about the cargo we’re carrying?”
Captain Neil took a sip of his drink, then shook his head. “I’m afraid I can’t say much. All I know is that it’s very, very old and seems connected to DeSnaijler’s dreadnought. It’s top secret, even for me.”
Spacedawg nodded thoughtfully. “That makes sense. The secrecy around it is pretty intense.”
Neil smiled. “Indeed. I wish I could tell you more, but my orders are clear. We need to ensure it reaches the research team safely.”
Spacedawg leaned back, stroking Elliott’s fur absentmindedly. “We’ll make sure it gets there. Thanks for the heads-up, Captain.”
Captain Neil stood up, finishing his drink. “Now, how about that tour?”
Spacedawg and Ed spent the next hour showing Captain Neil around the Mandoleer’s Folly, highlighting the ship’s impressive upgrades and advanced technology. Neil was especially impressed with the engineering bay and the command center.
As the tour ended, the cargo barge finished its transfer, securing the crate aboard the RCSC Peart. Captain Neil thanked Spacedawg and Ed for their hospitality.
